Chinese company plans to build a grain processing plant in Kazakhstan

ASTANA (TCA) — Chinese investors plan to build a plant for waste-free grain processing in the North Kazakhstan province, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported citing the press service of the province’s governor.
Representatives of China’s Wuhan Shilinfuxing Technology & Development Co. Ltd presented to North Kazakhstan province Governor Yerik Sultanov a project to build a plant for processing of agricultural produce.
―The Chinese investor plans to organize a full-cycle production — from the use of the latest technology of wheat planting to processing of grain and waste utilization. In addition, the investor plans to build animal farms and a fertilizer plant,‖ the press service said.
The Chinese company said it is ready to invest in the project and create around 500 jobs for North Kazakhstan residents.
―We would like to build a grain processing plant. Wheat will undergo a full processing cycle. It will be a waste-free production. Waste products will be used as fodder for animals and as fertilizer,‖ the chief engineer of the Chinese company was quoted as saying.
He also said that in China his company specializes in growing and processing of grain and oil-bearing crops, and has the latest production lines with a capacity of 48 million tons a year.
The governor of the North Kazakhstan province ordered the relevant authorities to consider the project proposed by the Chinese company, the governor’s press service said.
